We are all living in a world where communication and leader ship are two faces of a coin. We have started the functioning of Periyar Gavel club as the first Gavel club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in January 2010. The past one year our club was like the new born baby who was nicely looked af-ter by its Mother "The Periyar Toast Masters Club of Jubail". We have been in cradle initially and then started crawling. Ultimately by the end of the year we have started standing alone with sup-ports. Like different phases of life it is time to start moving.

A child who started walking may fall, but he is confident that his loving mother will always support in the childhoodThe Gaveliers are thankful to the chief architects of this venture none other than the club councilor TM P. J. J. Antony, TM Jayan Kamalasanan (Chief Coordinator) , and all other senior toast masters from Periyar TMC who supported and devoted their valuable time in supporting this baby. The response to the Periyar Gavel Club was overwhelming and under the mentorship of experienced Toastmasters, the Gavelier have a great chance to learn, have fun and blossom into promising leaders and become responsible members of the society.'

Today's PGC members will be the promising leaders of tomorrow. After the successful completion of the first year of PGC's life under the leader ship of Excom lead by Gav. Priyanka Babu, the new Excom was elected by the Gaveliers and has given the torch to me to lead the club as its president with a dynamic team to support me.

To ensure the success of this budding club the team work of the members and support of our loving mother (PTC) is most essential. With every meeting of this year we should step forward in the ladder of success. It should be the motto of every member to make take this club to the heights and to charter our club in the Toast Masters Fraternity The Periyar Gavel Club is the best available platform in Jubail for development of communication and leadership skills for the youth. PGC is a place to show our creativity, talents and team work. We shall together, do our best to keep this leading light glowing forever.
